Bad Credit Car Loan?

Me and my fiance have been trying to get a car. We both have bad credit, mine is 537 and his is 517. He has a reposseion on his less than a year old and I have a car in good standing on mine, but we got it for my sister. We make together around $3200.00 monthly. We have a car that could be a trade in, but it is a 1986. Does anyone know where we could get special financing? I am willing to pay more because our car is about to go out. Thanks the reason for the repo is because we just got a SUV for $457 a month, no problem, then I started have complications during my pregnancy and my doc took me off work, and the loan place wouldnt work with us.
Where can I find a place to take me, even with a large down payment? I am willing to put a large down payment and I DO want a car, not another SUV. I have already been thru JD Byrider, that is where my sis’s car is from. And HSBC is where we got the SUV. Anymore suggestions?
